Use Real Images for creative sourcing, or CV Dataset Mode for training image discovery.

About the search modes

Real Images mode

Real Images mode is built for creative sourcing. Your prompt is first run through an AI query-expansion step, which rewrites your intent into multiple targeted search terms so you are not limited to a single phrase. Those terms are sent to Pexels and Unsplash in parallel, and the combined results are deduplicated and ranked before they reach the grid. The output is high-resolution, commercially usable stock photography you can preview, download one at a time, or bundle into a ZIP.

CV Dataset mode

CV Dataset mode is built for machine-learning workflows. Instead of stock photos, PromptPix pulls annotated training imagery from HuggingFace and Kaggle, which host tens of thousands of computer-vision datasets covering objects, scenes, and document types. Short object prompts work best here — think ball, traffic sign, or pallet— and any dataset that matches is streamed back as individual images you can preview. When you are ready, export the full set as a single ZIP to kick off training or evaluation.
